vokt reads your vehicle’s odometer and compares it against your RUC licence from NZTA. When you get low, vokt will notify you.

Enter your details, your number plate, and select a plan. vokt checks your number plate with NZTA and pulls the RUC history already on record for the vehicle.

vokt reads the odometer and works out how much RUC is left, how far you drive in a year, and what to set aside each week, so your next purchase doesn’t come as a shock. It tells you when you are getting low and when to buy.

Common questions
Does vokt buy RUC for me?
No. vokt never handles your money or your NZTA account. It works out what to buy and when, and you buy it directly from NZTA yourself.
Which vehicles does vokt work with?
Currently vokt is only compatible with Tesla. More makes are in development. You can sign up to register your interest and be notified when yours becomes compatible.
What does vokt read from my vehicle?
vokt only reads whether the vehicle is awake, its current odometer, and the VIN. It cannot see your location, your cameras, your dashcam footage, or anything that controls the vehicle. Before you connect your vehicle, a full disclosure of what vokt can and can't access is made available to you.
Do you see my password when I connect my vehicle?
No. You sign in through your vehicle manufacturer's own API authorisation pages and vokt is handed a token it can use to read the odometer. You can disconnect your vehicle from vokt at any time.
What happens if my vehicle is out of wifi or cellular coverage?
Nothing breaks. vokt keeps trying, and updates once the vehicle is back in coverage.

When you are logged in to vokt, head to settings to manage your subscription. Or reach out to support@vokt.co.nz for assistance.
